What It Is? The EcoBarrel is an Upcycled (repurposed) food grade transport barrel that is given a second chance to do more than it was originally intended for. When there is no further use for these barrels, many are discarded and may end up in landfills. Green Mojo gives them a 2nd chance to benefit the world.
These barrels have traveled thousands of miles around the world, and even though we have thoroughly cleaned them inside and out, they may still have scratches and scrapes. These scratches and scrapes do not effect the water tight integrity of the barrel. This should be considered as part of the "character" of the repurposed EcoBarrel.
What It's Made Off
Plastic #2, HIGH DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (HDPE), is a sturdy and reliable non-leaching translucent plastic. HDPE resists UV penetration, which can damage and discolor the plastic. It is dishwasher-safe and able to withstand temperatures from -148 to 176° F, and it's ideal for beverage and food storage.
Plastic #4, LOW DENSITY POLYETHYLENE (LDPE) is a safe, non-leaching plastic. Flexible, impact-resistant and microwave-proof, it's dishwasher-safe and able to withstand temperatures from -148 to 176° F, Safe for use with food and beverages.
